Our Story
GamesPlained was born from a simple observation: the best way to understand how something works is to interact with it. Technical documentation is often dry and abstract. Video tutorials require passive consumption. But games? Games let you learn by doing.
We created "Gamesplanations" — interactive articles where you can play a game while reading about the technology, mechanics, or development techniques behind it. Each one is designed to give you that "aha moment" that only comes from seeing concepts in action.

As a father, the creator of GamesPlained wants his own kids to understand what they're engaging with. Gambling mechanics are everywhere — from loot boxes to slot-style games.
Knowledge is protection. If they're going to play, let them play with open eyes.
